He expects the main construction tender will be awarded in October with work to start shortly after that.
Mr Hazzard said five suitably qualified companies who have delivered hospitals and health care projects have been approached about the Port Stephens HealthOne tender.
The new building will deliver services for mental health consultations, increased imaging, children and family care, and oral health services.
The new building will deliver purpose-built areas for:
- A General Practice Clinic
- Community Health Services Pathology Unit
- Medical Imaging Unit
- Dental Clinic
“Our community deserve state-of-the-art health facilities where they can get the treatment they need, close to their home and families,” Mr Hazzard said.
The purpose built HealthOne will have one entrance and one reception for all the health services delivered on site making it easier for people to navigate.
The HealthOne will also feature additional car parking.
The NSW Government is building eight new HealthOne facilities across the state as part of a $100 million investment in out of hospital care in NSW.

The plans are also on display at Tomaree Community Hospital in Trevally Street, Nelson Bay.
