On a windy Sunday morning, the Bay Marlins swept past Warners Bay in a dominant grand-final performance, winning 33-2.
It was the second successive grand-final triumphant for the team of champion girls supported by a dedicated team of coaching staff and parents.
Sarah Gray from the Marlins was voted best on ground.
The club’s under-17 girls also put in red hot effort in their grand-final, only to go down against a very strong Cardiff team, 38-21.
The grand-final appearances capped off a successful season for the junior Marlins – girls and boys.
In the boys competitions, both the under-13s and 17s finished in fourth spot, while the under-15s lost their grand-final to take home the runners-up trophy.
Club secretary Penny Blyth said the club was proud to have six of its eight teams into the semi-finals.
“We are indeed very proud of all our players this year.”
