The collaboration between Australian Army Band Newcastle and Port Stephens Legacy has supported countless defence widows and children during the past 12 years, and this year looks to be no different.
This year’s concert will be held in the hall at Tomaree Education Centre, Salamander Bay, on Saturday, September 22.
The concert will be held between 2pm and 4pm.
However, the PCYC band will support the concert and perform at 1.30pm.
Tickets are available at the door.
Children are free to enter.
With only a short break from service after WWII, Australian Army Band Newcastle has existed since 1861.
Band members are talented musicians from the Hunter region.
The band comprises of ensembles, from quartets to a full military band, and performs music from all genres to suit any occasion.
It also features a pipes and drums section.
