It is these people that are recognised in the Port Stephens Annual Awards, announced each year during the Port’s Australia Day celebrations.
“While we’re great at banding together to help when times are tough, we’re also lucky to have some very special people in our community who go out of their way to help others day-in-day-out,” Port Stephens Council general manager Wayne Wallis said.
“These people are the driving force behind our community groups, they keep our sporting clubs running, they support others and they create a more welcoming and beautiful Port Stephens for us all.
“If you know someone who deserves recognition for their contribution to Port Stephens, now is the time to show them they are appreciated.”
