Hundreds of people turned out to the school on a sunny spring Saturday to browse the 44 stalls, see displays and demonstrations and go on the rides that filled the grounds throughout the day.
A traditional smoking ceremony and welcome to country kick started the day. Port Stephens MP Kate Washington officially opened the event.
Karuah Public School’s dance group and Medowie Dance n’ Dazzel studio performed for fete-goers. The day also included animal feeding, pony rides and an art exhibition.
A wide range of businesses from Karuah and the wider Port Stephens area donated raffle prizes.
