It has grown to 3656 men and 2937 women and has also gone from a seven hole course to 27 holes.
After a fire in 2015, the club undertook a $10million rebuild and now has a function room that can seat up to 200 people.
“Management and staff are very proud to be part of this year’s awards after enduring a tough two years of rebuilding the clubhouse itself and restoring business operations, exceeding all expectations,” club spokesperson Natalie Kelly said.
Nelson Bay Golf Club staff and management go out of their way to ensure all players needs are catered for, right down to carts for playing, as well as excellent drinks, food and course marshalling.
“We’ve opened a brand new, state-of-the-art facility which will serve the Nelson Bay community for years to come,” Natalie said. “We have a product that we are very proud of, from food quality to service with a smile.”
Nelson Bay Golf Club is a community club that has its doors open to everyone.
“We support charities and participate in local initiatives and are part of the Tomaree Business Chamber and Destination Port Stephens,” Natalie said.
“We enjoy collaborating with other local businesses to increase visitation to the area and providing a five star experience for both locals and visitors.
