Touring their popular Countdown show to Shoal Bay on October 20, Dragon rocked the country club with a celebration of 80s classics as well their own hits.
“The two hour set was a real celebration of their 80s hits, and some of Dragons favourite songs by the bands they love the most,” Shoal Bay Country Club marketing manager Peter Lazarus said of the show.
“April Sun in Cuba was an obvious highlight, as were other chart toppers Young Years and Are You Old Enough.
“The crowd was diverse speaking to their popularity to all ages.
“All in all, it was another brilliant night in the Bay.”
Dragon bassist Todd Hunter said the Shoal Bay gig was “a blast”.
“The staff really looked after us,” he said. “Great food, fantastic vibe – can’t wait to come back again.”
Dragon guitarist Bruce Reid said of the Shoal Bay gig: “Great crowd, great food, and what a view.”
Shannon Noll will be the next big name to tour to Shoal Bay, performing at the country club on November 10.
