Liberal candidate Jaimie Abbott said small and family businesses are the backbone of the Port Stephens community and was pleased to see them supported so they can create jobs and grow the local economy.
“Having an expert specialist on hand to offer advice to our local businesses is a huge help,” she said.
“They can assist someone who is ready to take the plunge and start their own business, operators wanting to ensure their business is sustainable or owners wanting to grow.
“People wanting to get out and have a go by starting their own small business should always be afforded the support and advice they need to get going.”
