Market stalls will be set up at All Saints from 8am on November 3. The jazz cafe will begin at 10am and wrap up at 1.30pm.
All Saints has hosted a talents challenge for eight years, with the jazz cafe added about two years ago.
The talents challenge is based on the parable of the talents as written in the Bible (Matthew 25:14-31), which is about using the talents you have been given rather than being fearful.
“We want to encourage people to think about using their talents and gifts and to come along and receive a warm welcome, a nourishing meal and some great music,” Terri Allen, one of the talents challenge organisers, said.
The jazz cafe attracted a full house last year.
The food served at the cafe is all made in-house and is run by the same people who run the open door cafe each Friday in the church hall.
Jazz Inc, the band that will perform at November 3 event, is made up with accomplished members who have played music internationally.
“I think people who like music will get a great jazz band without having to travel to Newcastle or Sydney to do so,” Allen said.
