Catherine Cusack MLC, the Parliamentary Secretary for Digital Inclusion, and Port Stephens Liberal candidate Jaimie Abbott visited the Raymond Terrace Service NSW Centre on Monday where the Cost of Living appointment service went live.
“The Berejiklian Government’s Cost of Living service will make it easier for families and individuals to potentially save hundreds of dollars,” Ms Cusack said.
“People can already access cost of living programs online, but sometimes it helps to have someone talk through what a customer may be eligible for and that’s where Service NSW can help.”
In the Port Stephens electorate more than 6200 Active Kids vouchers have been issued, of which more than 4900 have been redeemed.
There have been 60,615 CTP refunds so far across the electorate, which is a total of $3,092,681 back into the pockets of residents.
Additionally, more than $31,000 in free vehicle registration has been claimed by 71 people as part of the Toll Relief program.
Ms Abbott said the cost of living was a huge pressure for residents and the program would go a long way in saving people money.
“A family with two children could find savings of more than $800 if they’re eligible for the Family Energy Rebate, Active Kids vouchers, CTP Green Slip refund and free rego through the Toll Relief program for those who regularly travel to Sydney,” Ms Abbott said.
“Pensioner concession card holders could be eligible for savings of almost $1100 if they’re eligible for the Low Income Household Energy Rebate, CTP Green Slip refund, Appliance Replacement Offer, Pensioner Water Rebate and free rego for pensioners.”
Ms Abbott encouraged residents to go online and check their eligibility before making a booking with a specialist either online or by phone.
Appointments with a Cost of Living Specialist can be made online via the Service NSW website, calling 13 77 88 or in person at Raymond Terrace Service NSW Centre.
