The dual-Commonwealth Games gold medallist from Raymond Terrace produced another consistent season to secure her the 2018 gong, announced at Bowls Australia’s annual awards night on the Gold Coast on October 31.
Scott said it was “fantastic” to be named Female Bowler of the Year.
The award recognises the male and female bowlers who, at the end of June, were at the top of the sport’s national player rankings.
David Ferguson from Engadine was the Male Bowler of the Year.
Scott was also named Sport Australia’s International Bowler of the Year at the Queensland awards night.
The full contingent of Australian Jackaroos that secured five gold and two silver medals at the 2018 Games were honoured in a special presentation.
This included Scott and her triples and fours medal-winning teammates Karen Murphy, Kelsey Cottrell, Rebecca Van Asch and Carla Krizanic.
