The couple met in 2010 at Tomaree High School and tied the knot on November 10 this year in front of roughly 80 close friends and family – the bride wearing her mother’s wedding dress. Rev. Jan Deaves officiated the ceremony.
What followed was a reception at Broughtons at the Bay at d’Albora Marina, Nelson Bay where guests danced the night away to well-known musician and entertainer Mick Jones.
Kayla is the daughter of Warren and Gail Leadbeatter and works as a qualified audiometrist at Bloom Hearing Nelson Bay. Her sister Amy Leadbeatter served as Maid of Honour while the groom’s sisters Phoebe McDade and Summer McDade served as bridesmaids.
Faith McDade-Earle, Lexi Ellis and Savannah McManus were flower girls.
Mitchell is the son of Peter McDade and Kelli Simpson and is a qualified spray painter at National Truck Repairs at Beresfield. His father, Peter McDade served as best man while Luke Summergreene and John McManus filled the roles of groomsmen. Jai McManus was pageboy.
Mitchell’s uncle, Anthony McDade, was emcee for the evening.
The couple chose to honeymoon at Morton Island, QLD.
