Cartooning, animation and robotics will be showcased this Saturday, December 8, when Tomaree Youth Community Action (TYCA) conducts a free snak n rap event in Anna Bay from 10am to 2pm.

The day will feature the popular Port Stephens-based Toonworld with its internationally acclaimed cartoon and animation workshop, and the kids favourite STEAM education, coding and robotics exhibition.
Mike Wheeler, the artistic mastermind behind Port Stephens-based Toonworld, said that the motto behind the company was ‘empowering children through creativity”.
“We offer a range of creative workshops with content that caters to all school age groups and can be customized to align with specific learning and education needs,” Wheeler said.
TYCA member Linda Cavanagh operates the Salamander Bay-based STEAM Education workshops which are hands on interactive sessions.
“Each term we look at a different programming language and suitable robot to program, where the children can learn about each robots' sensors, settings, capabilities and functions. We strive to provide a fun interactive learning environment, the opportunity to evolve your child's passion, develop essential STEAM skills, and explore, collaborate and use critical thinking skills.”
The fun day of activities will also include food, drinks, entertainment and music. The event will take place at 146 Gan Gan Road, next door to the Anna Bay Surf Bike Skate store.
