The acoustic artist, who is inspired by musicians such as Ed Sheeran, George Ezra and Dean Lewis, will begin his set at the Corlette hotel at 2.30pm.
David and his brother Pete, both from Kilaben Bay, auditioned for The Voice earlier this year alongside Port Stephens father and musician Anyerin Drury.
The brothers made it through the blind auditions – David sang Sheeran’s Castle on the Hill.
While all four judges, Deltra Goodrem, Boy George, Kelly Rowland and Joe Jonas, turned their chairs for Pete, 19, none spun around for David, 23.
Taking comfort in his ability and making it to the competitive blind audition stage, David has been performing consistently since April and has a range of gigs coming up, including in Corlette, this month.
“It’s so enjoyable playing at so many different venues around the coast,” David said.
The young muso said he has always had a passion for singing and playing guitar.
From an early age he has been a musician but in the past four years he has put himself out there, performing for private events such as weddings and corporate functions.
David has also been involved with the Hunter Youth Alive band.
While he sings covers, David is not a cover artist.
He writes and performs his own songs, which he describes as easy listening.
