Christmas nibbles in the park in blustery conditions did not deter their enthusiasm for fun and fellowship and the arrival of Santa who was very busy handing out gifts to all present.
He needed help from elves Brenda and Ron to empty four big Santa bags.
There was even a goody bag for him as his precious time was appreciated by the “big kids” all decked out in Christmas finery.
The snooker boys wound up the year with their annual presentation dinner with Mal Craddock winning the championship from Ian Cooper.
Doubles winners were Roy Gambell and David Brook and most improved, John Townsend.
The final walk of 2018 was a lovely trek in Fingal Bay, then off to Sylvia’s where 33 walkers enjoyed Christmas drinks and lunch provided mostly by Sylvia with some help from the ladies.
David and his fishing group will bait up on Monday followed by a Christmas barbecue with all the trimmings and finally the club’s big Christmas luncheon on Friday at Soldiers Point Bowling Club – always a winner.
Over and out until 2019.
