This support includes driving patients to cancer-related medical appointments, providing housecleaning, lawn mowing and even providing nanny services to assist single parents undergoing treatment.
More than 300 Tomaree residents have received the group's assistance since it began.
The group's president, Taurie Lalor, has recorded 175 newly-diagnosed people who have made contact with her for assistance since becoming president in 2012.
As the group does not receive government or other organisation's financial assistance, it relies on its two annual major fund-raisers, a golf day and In the Pink breakfast, along with donations to continue its work.
There are approximately 80 members who volunteer their time in many ways such as driving, fundraising and handcrafting underarm cushion packs which are delivered to local hospitals and new patients.
These cushions help relieve underarm pain and are also useful when in a car keeping the seatbelt at bay.
Members get together three times a year making approximately 100 cushions.
If you would like to know more about the group phone Taurie on 0431 864 778 or 0423 602 243.
New volunteers are always welcome.
