President is Brad Fogarty, secretary Emma Jayne Thompson, treasurer Sharon Fogarty and vice president Derek Coxon who will also stay on as the ladies tag team coach.
The Bulla boys will be coached by former Maitland player Chris Gorton. Training for 2019 will start late January.
Birubi Point Surf Life Saving Club is set for a busy season with the junior club still having good numbers for the Sunday morning sessions. There are about 100 nippers involved with the main aim combining family fun days with lifesaving education.
Chairman Adam Howarth said the club will hold their age championships in February and are still taking registrations. Families are invited to attend. Sunday mornings on the beach start with 6-8 age group at 8.30am. The 9 and above nippers get underway at 9.30am.
Nelson Bay under-17 junior rugby union team, who had a heart breaking last minute, one point loss in their grand-final, enjoyed a well deserved bonding trip with coaches Andrew Evans and Jason Gascoigne to Vanuatu where the boys played and won two games before enjoying some island life.
Registrations can be done online from January 7 with the Hunter junior rugby union starting a 10-a-side girls competition in the under 13, 15 and 17 age groups. Club stalwart Dion Cooper will show his versatility by coaching the girls under-17 team in the new year.
