Marina general manager Darrell Barnett described the award as “an honour to be internationally recognised alongside some of the best marinas in the world”.
“Our staff work tirelessly every day to ensure our level of customer service is second to none. We are very proud of this achievement; however, this accreditation keeps us on our toes striving harder to maintain our excellent reputation and exceed customer expectations at all times.
“Our experienced and knowledgeable staff take pride in their can-do attitude.”
To achieve platinum standard – which is the highest possible level of the Anchor accreditations – marinas must exhibit an extremely high assessment score in all categories from infrastructure and facilities through to customer service.
“Soldiers Point met and exceeded many of the category priorities including excellent infrastructure and maintenance of their facilities, utilising high quality materials, excellent design and aesthetics including landscaping and presentation, enhanced by the extensive use of sculptures and decorative features located both on the water and land.”
The marina is built to world-class standards and offers boat owners a state-of-the-art home base, with a floating concrete walkway/pontoon system. All berths are fully serviced with power, filtered water, two telephone lines, network ISP dial up computer links, free to air digital TV, wireless internet and Foxtel.
