Matt Bliss, Mick Bradley and Steve Bennett were given the honour at the club's 2018 annual general meeting and presentation day.
Bradley was junior club president from 2003-05, in addition to being a committee member and coach from 19891994 and again from 19992005.
Bliss held the position of president from 2001-02, vice-president 2003, treasurer 1999-2000 and committee member and coach from 19962004, while Bennett held positions of manager, assistant coach, strapper, vice-president and groundsman during his seven years at the club from 1994 to 2000.
The three former members join a long list of dedicated men and women who have served the club and volunteered their time in the interests of ensuring the players get the best possible opportunities to perform to their abilities.
Marlins club registrar Nicole Moses said that the juniors were preparing for another big season ahead in 2019, with registrations looking healthy in all grades.
We hope to be fielding teams in every age group from under 6s to under 17s. All our younger teams are full but we still have room for players in the under 14, 15 and 16 year age groups, she said.
We have a registration day at the Salamander sporting fields [old tip] on Thursday from 6pm and we encourage anyone still interested in registering to attend.
The Marlins are also celebrating the selection of a number of representative players during the off-season, led by promising young forward Jarred Williams in the under 14s and Luke Innes in the under 13s.
Williams, a selection in the Knights junior development squad, said that he was grateful for the opportunities to play at the top level and that he was looking forward to a big season in 2019. I want to learn as much as I can and challenge myself.
Mrs Moses said that both boys had performed exceptionally well both for club and Newcastle rep squads and that the club was expecting to see a few more in coming years with the recent success of some of our younger teams.
