Police seized a diamond python snake, drugs and cash from a Nelson Bay residence this week as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged drug supply in the area.

About 7.40am on Wednesday, February 20, officers from the Port Stephens-Hunter Police District's Target Action Group executed a search warrant at a home on Government Road in Nelson Bay.
Police found a 33-year-old man who was arrested and taken to Raymond Terrace Police Station.
Upon searching the home, police seized cash, substances believed to be cocaine, MDMA, methylamphetamine, cannabis, LSD and a diamond python snake.
The man was charged with three counts of supply prohibited drugs, four counts of possess prohibited drugs, possess protected native fauna, goods in custody, and occupier knowingly conduct drug premises.
He was refused bail and appeared in Raymond Terrace Local Court on Wednesday. In court he was once again refused bail and is due to reappear at the same court on Monday, February 25.
