THE Seychelles, Maldives and Andaman Islands feature on an amazing cruise organised by Travelrite and The Senior later this year.

Cruising aboard Fred Olsen Cruise Line's Boudicca, the holiday of a lifetime begins in the beautiful Seychelles after a flight from Australia.

Arriving in the capital of Victoria, surrounded by jungle-clad mountains rising from the Indian Ocean, the group will have a day of leisure before joining a sightseeing tour of the main island of Mahe and then boarding MS Boudicca for a 15-night cruise.

First port of call is the second-largest of the Seychelle islands, Praslin. The 26 sq km island has about 8000 inhabitants and its beaches rank among the most beautiful in the world.

Travellers will watch birds, be amazed by the giant Aldabra tortoises and enjoy the lush vegetation. Praslin is also home of the Coco de Mer palm tree, which grows in the Valee de Mai National Park.

Then follows three days at sea to enjoy everything Boudicca has to offer - photography talks, ballroom dancing lessons, singing and language classes, theatre workshops, watercolour tutorials, and even group bingo.

Next stop is Male, the capital of the Maldives, and one of the world's smallest national capitals.

It's then on to the Sri Lankan capital of Colombo, which has a long history as a port on the ancient East-West trade routes, ruled successively by the Portuguese, Dutch and British.

Time will be spent at the Pinnewala Elephant Orphanage, a refuge, nursery and captive breeding ground for wild Asian elephants.

After a busy day sightseeing, there are another two more days at sea before arriving at Port Blair which is the largest city of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands group.

A mix of Indian people - Tamils, Bengalis, Nicobarese and Burmese - it's cosmopolitan and friendly.

A great way to take in the sights is to take a tuk tuk ride and perhaps visit the Aberdeen Bazaar lined with bars and restaurants.

The cruise winds up in Phuket, a rainforested and mountainous island that is home to some of Thailand's most popular beaches.

A boat journey on Phang Nga Bay will explore pristine beaches, islands, mangrove forests, lagoons and caves.

The group will also see the famed "James Bond Island" featured in the film The Man with the Golden Gun.

The fully escorted tour features group activities most days. People travelling alone can choose to be matched in twin share cabins to save the single supplement.

Cruise the Seychelles, Maldives & Andaman Islands from November 12-29, 2019. Prices from $7350 per person twin share.
