Plovers co-skippers Tom Irwin with 85 and Mitchell Fisher 71 not out led the way along with Shannon Threlfo who made 51.
"We were really disappointed with how we batted against Easts and we just wanted to show a bit of ticker and bat the day," Irwin said.
"For us this is a semi-final. We wanted everyone to value their wicket, to not throw their wicket away and bat for long periods.
"It's now up to our bowlers to get the wickets and for Kurri Weston to beat Norths."
City United and Thornton are evenly matched after day one of their clash with City making 8/202 thanks to another skippers' knock from Matt Trappel who made 55 before becoming one of Chris Archer's three wickets.
In the final match, Easts made 137 and Port Stephens were 6/95 in reply.
