The movie, to be screened on Sunday, April 7 at 2pm, was previously only on limited release in capital cities to commemorate the Armistice Day centenary.
Jackson is said to have had access to hundreds of hours of photos, silent movies, audio interviews held by the British War Museum and through the words of the soldiers themselves, brings to life their experiences for another generation to see.
The event is being held for adults only.
Numbers for the screening are needed by March 27 with those interested encouraged to purchase tickets early.
Tickets cost $15 per person and must be purchased in advance. Bookings can be made online at www.trybooking.com/480545 or can be purchased at the Raymond Terrace Historical Society Research room on Mondays or Wednesdays from 9.30 am to 2pm, at the end of the library building at 18 Sturgeon Street.
