Hunt has spent the past 20 years performing her Forever Soul show, a retrospective of Motown, soul, funk and disco, on stages across the country.
The Forever Soul show includes more than 20 songs including some medleys of songs from Earth Wind and Fire and Michael Jackson hits.
The singer and actress thinks the show has enjoyed such longevity because she enjoys singing music that makes people happy.
Hunt began singing in the African American tradition: the gospel church.
That experience laid the foundation of her soulful singing style.
She went on to study voice at The City College of New York where she received a BFA in music.
In addition to releasing her own music, Hunt has worked and performed with plus recorded alongside some of the biggest names in music, in Australia and abroad.
Hunt lived in Italy for a number of years where she recorded and toured with Italian Superstar Zucchero.
Internationally, Hunt has worked with Ray Charles, Eric Clapton, James Brown, Dionne Warwick and Andrea Bocelli and in Australia, she has toured and recorded with Jimmy Barnes, Diesel, Tina Arena, Darren Percival, Jon Stevens and Midnight Oil.
Hunt will tour Forever Soul to Shoal Bay Country Club on June 14.
The performer will hit the stage at 7pm. Tickets cost $28, available online or at the door on the night.
