Ms Washington joined Tanilba Bay resident Deahnne McTackett on the Tilligerry Peninsula on Friday to announce the funding commitment, which hinges on Labor winning the state election.
"I've heard loud and clear from local residents that President Wilson Walk needs a bit of love," Ms Washington said.
"If Labor forms government, we'll invest $1.5 million to upgrade the footpaths and make the street a more inviting place for locals and visitors alike.
"Tanilba Bay missed out on the council's town centre rejuvenation plans, so I'm pleased to make this commitment to local residents to make sure they get their fair share as well."
The funding has been set aside to carry out accessibility upgrades and beautification works in President Wilson Walk, including an improved treescape, greater footpath connectivity, upgraded lighting and signage, and accessibility upgrades.
Community consultation would determine the final design with construction to begin in 2020.
The funding will be allocated from Labor's Main Streets Revitalisation Fund which will be established using the proceeds of the Snowy Hydro Scheme's transfer to the Commonwealth Government.
Ms Washington said the funding will provide greater accessibility for residents with mobility issues, as well as provide a "long overdue boost to Tanilba Bay's business district, encouraging economic growth and providing a sense of civic pride to local residents".
