Each Tuesday until April 30 residents requiring NDIS-related assistance will be able to meet and speak with society representatives at the Karuah Centre, located at 393 Tarean Road, between 10am and 1pm.
The society can help Karuah residents living with disabilities and families access speech therapy, psychology support, behaviour support, occupational therapy, physiotherapy and provide case coordination support.
After the NSW Government's specialist disability teams transferred to The Benevolent Society in August 2017, it developed a team of professionals to provide specialised multi-disciplinary disability services throughout the Hunter.
It is now expanding its scope to help Karuah families. The sessions kicked off on March 19.
For those who can't make the Tuesday information sessions phone The Benevolent Society on 0417 679 597.
