Friend Liz Brady, of Anna Bay, said that Ms Field was a long-term resident on the Tomaree peninsula, originally living in Nelson Bay and also residing in Boat Harbour and Anna Bay.
"Jenny was a compassionate and kind person, who fostered many children and over 20 years ago was one of the founding members of the Tomaree Accommodation Service located in Salamander Bay," Ms Brady said.
"Jenny worked tirelessly in her community in disabilities, foster caring and was in recent times a board member of the Tomaree Neighbourhood Centre. In 2016 Jenny was awarded Volunteer of the Year.
"She will be forever missed by loving family and friends."
Ms Field was cremated on April 2 at Beresfield Crematorium. She is survived by her mother Margaret, siblings Robyn, William and Margaret and their families.
