Him Do Tae Kwon Do Academy from Salamander Bay claimed the major trophy at the fifth annual Port Stephens Taekwondo Championships after winning the most medals across the two-day event.

The championship was held at Tomaree Education Centre's hall on March 9-10 and featured sparring, patterns individual and teams, high jump and board breaking events. Hamish Clark from Him Do took out the best competitor over the two days in multiple disciplines.
"The event had some great competitors involved and plenty of taekwondo action over the two days. We are looking forward to our next competitions throughout the year at state, national and international levels," master Ronald Bergan from Him Do said.
