The Easter long weekend and Anzac Day public holiday will affect some Port Stephens Council services.
Some council facilities will alter their operating hours as a result of the Good Friday (April 19) and Easter Monday (April 22) public holidays. Some council services will also be affected by Anzac Day, which is on Thursday, April 25.
Salamander Bay Waste Transfer Station will close at 3.30pm on Thursday, April 18 and re-open on at 7am on Monday, April 22.
Regular waste collection will begin earlier on Friday, April 19 due to public holiday operating hours at waste disposal and processing facilities.
There will be no green waste drop off day on Sunday, April 21 due to Easter Sunday.
Salamander Bay Waste Transfer Station will be closed on Anzac Day - Thursday, April 25.
All Port Stephens libraries including Raymond Terrace, Tomaree, Tilligerry and the Mobile Library will be closed for Easter from Friday, April 19 to Monday, April 22.
On Anzac Day, all libraries will be closed.
Tilligerry Community Library in Lemon Tree Passage will close for two weeks from 12pm on Saturday, April 27 for renovations.
Visitor Information Centre:
The Port Stephens Visitor Information Centre in Victoria Parade, Nelson Bay will be open 9am to 5pm across the Easter long weekend.
The centre will be open on Anzac Day from 11am to 4pm.
Port Stephens Council Administration Building:
Council's Administration Building at 116 Adelaide St, Raymond Terrace will be closed from Friday, April 19 to Monday, April 22 for Easter.
The building will be closed on Thursday, April 25 for Anzac Day.
