The Nelson Bay and Raymond Terrace sub-branches are preparing to host large crowds to its dawn and main Anzac Day services on Thursday, April 25.
"We receive great local support," Raymond Terrace RSL Sub-Branch president Vic Jones said.
At previous Anzac and Remembrance Day services, the Terrace RSL sub-branch has displayed an image and information on a veteran from the area that died during WWI.
This year, a WWI veteran who fought, returned home and continued to contribute to their community will be featured.
Artwork by Terrace-based school students exploring the theme of remembrance will also be displayed in Anzac Park on April 25.
Nelson Bay's Anzac Day services attract some of the largest crowds in the area, with up to 2000 people attending the 11am service each year.
Russell Durrant, secretary for the Bay RSL sub-branch, said he was expecting a similar turnout this year.
The sub-branch will have a strong contingent of marchers this year.
Soldiers Point Public School students will deliver the ode during the main service. A navy officer is due to deliver the address.
