Money raised during the April 27 event will enable our VIEW club to continue to support 10 disadvantaged students it sponsors through The Smith Family's Leaning for Life program.
On the day, guests were greeted with a glass of bubbles and canapes and directed to their allotted tables where plates of freshly made sandwiches were served.
Lorraine Nicol, the club's events coordinator, introduced each member of the royal family as they entered the hall wearing glittering tiaras and sparkling jewels.
The 'Queen', portrayed by Norma Smith, was dressed in a long gold gown with regal sash carrying her favourite corgi.
'Fergie' was there with flowing red tresses, as was 'Camilla' in a very elegant red outfit with matching hat.
Mother-to-be 'Meghan' wore a simple white dress and mingled happily with other royal guests such as 'Princess Eugenie' and 'Princess Anne'.
Kylie Minogue (portrayed by Jenni Rossi), Julie Andrews (Janelle Riorden) and Captain Von Trapp (John Vodopia) entertained guests with a fabulous concert accompanied by pianist David Naylor and vocalist PJ Willis.
Mr Vodopia has a wonderful voice and the classical numbers he sang with Mrs Rossi were outstanding.
Mouth-watering cakes, tea and coffee followed the concert and several guest went home very happy as winners of the numerous raffle prizes.
Nelson Bay VIEW Club would like to thank all who contributed to the success of the event especially the talented entertainers and the generous benefactors who donated the raffle prizes.
