The game was always a close contest with the Panthers holding a narrow 10-6 lead at the break.
In the second half, the Bulla boys clocked off in the opening quarter.
This allowed the Griffins to lead 24-20 for the first time.
However. Mallabula's superior fitness saw them finish the game off strongly.
Tough front rower Leigh Kelly was a worthy man of the match in his 200th game for the club and celebrated the milestone with a try.
Five eight James Fogarty was the best back with a stellar performance while lock Nick Hor's non-stop effort won him the coaches' award.
The ladies league tag was an entertaining game with the Panthers winning 10-0.
Try scorers were Kirra Stewart and Elizabeth Hollings.
Both teams are away this weekend - the men to Glendale and ladies to Cardiff.
