Raymond Terrace Athletics Centre ended a very busy 2018/19 summer season with a well attended presentation day held last weekend.

The centre had 48 athletes compete at the zone carnival, with 42 of them qualifying for the regionals, where a further 20 qualified for the state championships at Homebush, which included three medal winners.
In the under 11s triple jump Dixie Conlon won gold, while Keira McGregor finished with a bronze in the U13s 100m and Jack Kenny a silver in U17s javelin.
At the state titles held in Dubbo in March, Cody Hancock (under 14) came home with a gold medal in the combined points tally comprising the 200m, 90m hurdles, 800m, long jump, shot put and discus. Six athletes also qualified for the Australian Track and Field.
Five Years' Continuous Service awards were presented to Bela Clarke, Selina Hessel, Benjamin Vetter, Evie Purukamu, Logan Slater and Alana Pisch; and 10 years continuous service awards went to Chelsea Terranova and Leila Inglis-Monk.
Coaches' Awards were presented to Dixie Conlon, Mark Said, Max Haynes, Dulshan Heenkenda, Dixie Conlon and Cody Hancock.
Winners of the perpetual trophies were Mila Clarke, Boston Maloney, Kaydence Hostler, Benjamin Vetter, Dixie Conlon, Cooper McKenna, Ebony Newton, Cody Hancock, Gemma Hancock, Nathan Swan, Natasha Terranova, Theresa Pisch, David Pisch, Charleise Chivers, Amelia Said (2), Amy Summerville, Jasper Papworth (2), Max Haynes and Benjamin Edstein.
