Port Stephens police investigating the alleged assault of an officer in Raymond Terrace on Anzac Day are searching for two men they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries into the matter.

Three Raymond Terrace men, aged 19, 22, and 24, are before the courts relating to the alleged assault of the Port Stephens senior constable at a William Street hotel on April 25.
On Friday, May 31 police release images of a further two men they wish to talk to about the incident.
The first man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his early to mid-20s, between 175cm-180cm tall, with a thin build and sandy brown curly hair.
The second is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his early to mid-20s, between 175cm-180cm tall, with a thin build, a sleeve tattoo on his right arm (shoulder to wrist), and a tattoo on his upper left arm.
The alleged assault occurred at the Raymond Terrace hotel about 6.45pm.
Officers from the Port Stephens-Hunter Police District were called to the hotel on reports of a brawl.
Police closing the venue and moved patrons on.
A short time later, a group of men returned to the front of the hotel. Police directed them to move on.
It is alleged the men refused and became aggressive towards police, during which time a male senior constable was allegedly hit in the head with a glass bottle and punched several times.
The senior constable received minor swelling around his head. He did not require hospitalisation.
