Billie and Me is a reflection of Holiday's art of songwriting and musical ability, Matthews said, and pays tribute to the artist.
When talking about her album Billie and Me, Matthews said: "I've always had admiration for Billie, her strengths and weaknesses".
"The show is not an impersonation or a tribute as much as an exploration into the way the players used to follow the singers instead of the other way around," Matthews said.
The album was recorded with Brendan St Ledger on piano and Greg Royal on bass.
Since releasing Billie and Me, Matthews, St Ledger, Royal and guitarist Mick King have been touring the show across Australia.
The group will tour the Billie and Me show to Wests Nelson Bay Diggers on Saturday, June 22.
Fans can expect an intimate show with an introspective translation of some of Holiday's greatest hits including God Bless the Child, Good Morning Heartache, The Man I Love and You're My Thrill as well as a selection of Matthew's most popular songs including The Day You Went Away, Woman's Got to Have It and Token Angels.
The Nelson Bay show begins at 8pm.
Tickets, from the club or through proticket.com.au, cost $40 for club members and $45 for non-members.
