Between 1pm and 4pm in the reserve's car park the community will be able to meet with Port Stephens-Hunter Police District officers. It is an opportunity for community members to ask questions or discuss any concerns with police.
Marine Area Command, Maritime, PCYC Nelson Bay and Traffic and Highway Command representatives will also be available for a chat.
Dependant on weather, the PCYC activity van will be open to the community to use during the event.
There will be food stalls and coffee on the day.
The community engagement event is being held in partnership with Port Stephens Council. It is one of a number of events due to be held in the reserve to "activate" the space in the next three months.
