Forty-five years later the award-winning show and the durable iconic vehicle are reuniting in Port Stephens in preparation for a Variety Bash to take place later this month.
Anna Bay's June Coleman will captain 'Team Charlie's Angels' and will be accompanied by Moira Sullivan as one of the 'Angels' and Roy Hilton as 'Bosley'.
The trio will be driving a '74 Toyota Crown, aptly named 'Charlie', in the 'B to B Bash' starting from Bondi Beach on July 28 and finishing in Batt Reef, Port Douglas, on August 6.
Ms Coleman, who is participating in her ninth bash, said that all money raised would from the event would go to help sick kids.
"Dick Smith started the Variety Bash in 1985, and while there a number of different bashes, an extraordinary $140 million has been raised since that time," Ms Coleman said.
"In addition to helping sick children, we have a lot of fun on the road dressing in costume and meeting people from all walks of life."
Ms Coleman took part in her first B to B Bash with her son, Scott - dressed as Darth Vader and Princess Leia.
They decided to do the bash to raise money to help kids because Scott had a baby who sadly died.
"I've had a hard life. When my two sons from my first marriage had left home and I was on my own again I decided to make my annual holiday the bash. That way you are never on your own - you have more than 300 friends to travel with and there is always someone there to keep you company," Ms Coleman said.
"One of my most memorable moments is seeing the faces of a little girl living with a disability and her parents when we donated a specially modified bike to the family.
"I can't describe the joy which radiated from them when the little girl rode the bike for the first time.
"It really is a special experience to see the joy on the faces of kids and their families when they received a donation which you have contributed to with your fundraising."
Ms Coleman said she was aiming to raise in excess of $10,000 through raffles, donations and fundraising events, which included a soup luncheon held at Tomaree Aquatic Centre.
