The Bomboras went into Saturday's game without 10 regular players. The mounting injury toll may derail their semi-final chances.
Fingal were in the contest at half time trailing 6-4. However, the bigger opposition pack rolled up the middle as the Bay young guns showed plenty of character to defend their line with a depleted bench.
The club have a bye this week and will need all hands to the pump to make a late charge for a semi-final spot.
The Fingal ladies tag team played the competition front runners Aberglasslyn, who remain unbeaten in three seasons, on Saturday.
Aberglasslyn jumped out to a 20-0 lead by half time.
The Fingal girls rallied in the second half. A runaway try to Bree Robinson racked up Fingal's only points of the game, which ended 20-4. Misty Sayers had fine game and picked up the players' player award.
