In June, Fifty-eight members and friends dressed up and poured into the Horizons Golf Resort function room for a two course lunch with a mingling glass of bubbly on arrival.
The venue is very roomy and the round tables lent themselves to much chatter and friendship.
The colour scheme was orange and green with a bit of a garden theme happening, which suited the outlook over the golf course.
The sun came out for most of the time which was bonus after all the rain.
Chef Paul and Sarina along with the staff from Horizons looked after the ladies extremely well, with Sarina telling Ann Gibson from the Probus club what a great group they were. Pat on the backs ladies.
The next big activity was the Xmas in July cruise on Newcastle Harbour where a delicious traditional lunch was enjoyed on a bright and sunny day.
Fishing is back on track. The keen fisher men and ladies tried their luck recently at The Anchorage wall in Corlette.
Walking, social bowls and Inter Club Probus Bowls continue to be a regular feature each month.
Lunches and outings also on the agenda.
Couples and singles very welcome to join the club. For more information go to: www.probusclubofportstephens.org
