The pharmacy has relocated just a few steps along the main street to a larger site next to the Soldiers Point Medical Centre in what used to be the old news agent site.
The new address offers better accessibility for all, including a wheelchair ramp and is now closer to two GP surgeries and retirement villages. The new premise is branded "Chemsave", one of Australia's largest independent pharmacy groups, meaning customers will enjoy better value and a wider range of products.
"Moving new store will enable us to carry more stock and provide more services," pharmacy owner Yong Cao said.
"The pharmacy still has the same experienced friendly staff and our long time local pharmacist Sandra and Kerry to work in the shop and we recently pharmacist Sonia has joined us to work a couple of days a week which allow us to provide home medication reviews and Medschecks."
Over the years the nature of what a pharmacy does has changed and Wanda Beach Pharmacy is no different.
"We are now catering to a wider range of health and wellbeing requirement outside just dispensing medicine," Mr Cao said.
The community focused chemist, which has been operating for over two decades, provides prescription services, giftware, cosmetics, medicines and first aid supplies.
Wanda Beach Pharmacy Shop is now located at 5-6 251 Soldiers Point Road. For more information, ring 4984 7936.
