The event was hosted by COPSY (Caring for Our Port Stephens Youth) to support its free counselling service, Jupiter, which was launched in March and designed specifically for youth aged 12-18 years.
"The combination of the cause, the environment, the food, the service and the entertainment ensured the event's success," said COPSY vice president Geoffrey Basser.
"With annual costs of $75,000 [to operate the Jupiter program] there will be a continual need for all sections of the community to accept the responsibility of ensuring that Jupiter continues to inspire hope by enabling young people to strengthen their mental health and improve their well-being."
The luncheon, held on June 27, comprised a four course luncheon of Rick Stein-inspired food with matching wines.
"We pass on our gratitude and appreciation to Bannisters who gave COPSY an unprecedented $100 donation from every ticket sold, and all those who attended," Mr Basser said.
The Jupiter program is in full swing, providing the youth of Port Stephens with a 'space to talk' with free professional counselling from the centre of Salamander Bay.
