The Child Safe Sport workshop, hosted by the NSW Office of Sport, will outline how local clubs can create safer sporting environments for children and young people.
NSW Office of Sport acting chief executive, Karen Jones said sport and recreation clubs have a responsibility to protect children from harm and abuse.
"Creating a child safe culture should be a priority for sport and recreation clubs," Ms Jones said.
"It's vital that we support grass roots sport to understand and apply child safe practices."
"This workshop will provide club committees, administrators and volunteers with practical ways to be more child safe."
The workshop will also introduce a range of resources, tools and templates that will assist volunteers in safeguarding children in sport.
The workshop will be held from 6-9pm.
