Founded by businesswoman Leah Anderson, the group president for the first five years, alongside Michelle Hughes and Alicia Karena, WiB is celebrating its 10-year anniversary with a glitz and glamour ball next month.
The event will be held at Shoal Bay Country Club on Friday, September 20, with all proceeds from the $99 a head ticket price going to the Tomaree Breast Cancer Support Group.
The organisation has only had three presidents since its inception in 2009 - Ms Anderson (2009-14), Kylie Smiley (2004-17) and current leader Emily Perry - and in addition to providing business support and mentorship, it has raised thousands of dollars for the cancer support group and Yacaaba Centre.
Ms Anderson said that the group was a trailblazer for women in Port Stephens and continues to play an important role in connecting women looking to start a business with support mechanisms and mentors.

"When I started out in business most of the networking meetings I would attend involved men. I had heard about a small group of ladies who would meet on a casual basis, so I decided to rejuvenate the group and formally establish the WiB group," Ms Anderson said.
"At our first meeting in December 2009 we had 15 women attend. Today's membership is around 50."
One of those women to reap the benefits of WiB was Emily Perry, who recalled being "dragged by my mother to attend her first meeting" around six years ago.
"I remember thinking what on earth could I learn from a bunch of business women. Well, I am proud to say that I am now more confident and capable in business and leadership."
Ms Smiley described the group as a "very supportive environment for all women, particularly any young ladies looking for a start in business".
