Norma Hocking, an organiser of the twice monthly markets, said the move to Neil Carroll Park, where the Legacy Craft Markets are also held, made sense.
"We've been at Tomaree Sports Complex about 25 years," she said.
"It's just too sandy down there. It's too hard for customers, especially those with prams and mobility aids, to get around the markets.
"We have tried in the past to get paths down there, but we never could.
"It makes sense to move to Neil Carroll Park so the markets are in the one place. People know where the markets are, and it's much easier for customers to get around to the stalls."
The first market was held in the park at Fly Point on July 14. The next market will be held from 8am to 1pm on Sunday, August 11.
Tomaree Markets are held the second and fourth Sunday of the month.
The Legacy Craft Markets are held in Neil Carroll Park on the first, third and fifth Sunday of the month.
Ms Hocking, who has been a part of the Tomaree Markets for 20 years, described it as a "family market" that had "something for everyone".
"We have pre-loved goods, homemade products, metal art, food... so much," she said.
"If you haven't been before, come and have a browse."
