Sea Stories will be exploring how to best navigate the wide variety of eco-friendly ideas that have popped up in the past five years in the Waratah Room of Tomaree Library from 7pm on August 14.
The speaker will be Lia Pereira, a part-owner of Irukandji Shark and Ray Encounters as well as a co-founder of the non-profit Sea Shelter.
With a background in zoology, Mrs Pereira has spent most of her adult life promoting conservation in one form or another along with her husband, marine biologist Ryan Pereira.
The pair have moulded Irukandji into a conservation hub to advocate for healthy oceans and launched Sea Shelter to educate the public.
