For many years the opportunity to find land in an ideal location in Port Stephens has been limited, however the development of The Bower, a boutique community masterplanned by the McCloy Group, has provided living options for a range of buyer needs.

Launched in September 2016, the project has proved popular with locals from day one, with buyers being known to camp out to secure the sought-after homesites.

Now three years into the project the McCloy Group have brought Port Stephens one of its largest neighbourhood parks in Bower Reserve.

"Incorporating parks and playgrounds into McCloy Communities is core to the McCloy Group philosophy," McCloy Group Project Director James Goode said. "They create a sense of community and give families a place to be outdoors and enjoy the lifestyle Medowie offers."

Bower Reserve holds pride of place in The Bower community, located at the centre of the project on an astounding 10,000m2 of land. The new state-of-the-art facilities include childrens play equipment, adult exercise area, half basketball court, sky climber, seating and a variety of public art donations.

"We saw a gap in the Port Stephens market for quality neighbourhoods that are affordable and offered families quality facilities," Mr Goode said. "The Bower has helped meet this need where purchasers were able to choose from a variety of homesites and work with their chosen builder to create a home that suited their budget and lifestyle. The park has increased the appeal to families and creates a great lifestyle opportunity in the area."

The Bower development has also helped progress the wider Medowie community, with McCloy Group bringing forward the delivery of the pedestrian cycle path under a works-in-kind agreement with Port Stephens Council, providing a connection back to the town centre along Medowie Road.

The Bower is not the only McCloy Community in the area. Others include Potter's Lane on Rees James Road at Raymond Terrace - a growing community offering stunning rural views - and the soon to be released The Gardens, a brand new lifestyle opportunity on Medowie Road, Medowie.
