Owned and operated by husband and wife team Adam and Lisa McMahon in partnership with business colleagues Graham and Kim Steber, Tuncurry Coach Tours appeal to people looking to have the hard work done for them so they can sit back, relax and let their holiday unfold in front of them.
Feel like doing an overnight trip to Historic Dubbo and the Western Plains in September, or maybe check Caberra's Floriade in October, or how about Melbourne Cup in Mudgee in November? Tuncurry Coach Tours have multi-day options available which include accommodation and daily highlights.
How about catching a live show in the city to see Billy Elliott at Lyric Theatre in Sydney in October, or Mamma Mia at Newcastle's Civic Theatre in November.
Tuncurry Coach Tours has packages available that include meal and ticket plus hassle-free transport to and from the show.
"We do everything from day trips, live shows and extended trips," Adam said. "We can take people anywhere from a day at the local markets to a trip to Western Australia for the Wildflowers and everything in between."
Tuncurry Coach Tours work predominantly with retirees looking to continue their enjoyment for travel. They also do a lot of work for Probus Clubs, Travels Clubs, charity organisations and garden clubs.
"We can cater for people with all types of needs and requirements and our team are also more then happy to design a specific tour for your group," Adam said
Tuncurry Coach Tours started from humble beginnings in the early 1990s, taking Probus groups and shopping groups on day trips.
Today Tuncurry Coach Tours has two 48-seat luxury bathroom equipped, air-conditioned coaches that service a regular client base of over 300 travellers.
"We will arrange pick up and drop off in the Port Stephens Area - Raymond Terrace, Motto Farm, Medowie, the Bay etc. We encourage our travellers to call us to arrange where and what their options are.
"Whilst we are not a tiny operator we are small enough to know that the quality of service on every trip is what makes us stand out from the rest. We believe that our staff make a great trip even better every time."
The company recently employed Julie Poole from Newcastle as Tour Planner.
"Julie comes to us with over 15 years of experience in the bus and coach industry as a Tour Planner, Travel Consultant and Tour Director," Adam said.
"She has worked in the Port Stephens, Nelson Bay, Raymond Terrace and Newcastle areas and she has many clients eager to continue their relationship with her and to join the Tuncurry Coach Tours experience."
Ultimately, the focus at Tuncurry Coach Tours is continue creating good quality tours at affordable prices that help people continue to travel for as long as possible.
"In my eye our greatest achievement is that we have assisted over 5000 local travellers in the last 12 months continue to travel," Adam said. "We have helped people who have lost their partners, friends or their confidence to travel again and meet new friends.
"This is very special and the reason we love what we do. When you see a person form a new relationship and begin to mingle with new friends this is priceless."
