The full service bike shop is the oldest in Port Stephens, covering all makes and bike ages, as well as supplying a full range of clothing and spare parts for road and off-road machines.

Business owner and operator Daran Martin is proud of the 21 years and puts the longevity down to great customer service and keeping up with the times.

"We've got the latest equipment, great prices and our online shop allows anyone who doesn't have time to come instore to get their parts as well as access expert advice and technical info on how to repair and maintain their own bikes," Daran said.

"We're the only shop in the area with full machine facilities for engine repairs, and I regularly get those hard to repair jobs referred to me. Plus we have the latest electronic testing. I have customers from around the world, plus lots of farmers and business owners use our parts too.

"I try and offer the best customer service and go above and beyond to help customers understand their bikes and ways to save money in repairs and upkeep."

Daran's passion for what he does is backed up by qualifications in mechanics and marine engineering, plus a wealth of motor racing experience as both competitor and engineer.

In many ways, taking on the business in March 2013 was a natural extension.

"I started working for the previous owner and when he decided to shut down I purchased it and have built it up from there," Daran said.

When he's not working on the bikes, Daran loves spending time with family either sailing or at the beach or riding bikes with the kids.

"I love the relaxed vibe of the area and and how it's so close to Newcastle and Sydney," he said.
