October is shaping up to be a busy month for sport in Port Stephens.

While the Tomaree Peninsula has hosted most of the Port's autumn and winter sporting events, such as football, fishing and surfing tournaments, Raymond Terrace will see its share of activity as the weather warms up.

Cricket NSW's under-13 and under-15 Women's Country Championships is set to return to King Park Sporting Complex between October 7 and 10.

The Raymond Terrace Powerboat Spectacular will be held on the Hunter River, just off Riverside Park, on October 18.

The Barefoot Marathon will be held on October 26. The bare foot water skiing event will be held on the Hunter and Williams rivers, with participants set to gather at the Raymond Terrace boat ramp.

Meanwhile, the Ultimate Frisbee Championships return to Tomaree Sports Complex between October 17 and 20. Hundreds of ultimate competitors from across the state are due to participate.
