The boys sealed the 2019 premiership with a 3-1 extra-time victory over New Lambton played at Raymond Terrace's King Park last Tuesday night.
After conceding an early goal, the Bay side coached by Rick Bray fought hard to come back and level the scores 1-1 at full time, forcing the decider into 20 minutes of extra time.
During this period Nelson Bay scored in the first half before sealing the result with a third goal late in extra time to win 3-1.
Overall it was a great team effort from all the players, with the standouts being Ryan Bray and Mitchell Lancaster.
This team has now won their division the last three years in a row: 2017 - G grade champions, 2018 - D Grade champions and D grade champions again in 2019.
To celebrate the end of another great season, the football club's End of Year Charity Gala Dinner will be held at Nelson Bay Bowling Club on Saturday, September 14. The evening will start at 6pm and includes the senior presentation and guest speaker, Newcastle Jets CEO Lawrie McKinna.
The club is proudly supporting Jupiter, a not-for-profit organisation offering free, personalised counselling and mental health support services for the youth of Port Stephens. Tickets are available on 4981 1272.
